Home renovation adds more than a 62% increase in property value

Restoring value

Any home renovation project needs highly detailed planning; however, this is especially true for homes with greater wear and tear. As this particular property had previously belonged to the Department of Housing, the 30-year old home had suffered worse treatment than usual. Greater planning, preparation and repair works were required as a result. Thankfully, the team have extensive experience in repair and restoration projects of all kinds. No matter the size and scope of damage, a cost-effective solution can be identified and created.

"Many people are hesitant when it comes to renovation projects for older homes and homes that are in poor condition. While they do require more work and time, the return on investment is phenomenal. We are very happy to have delivered this renovation and restoration while adding significant financial value at the same time.”

Planning for success

In order to properly restore and modernise, the entire home would be stripped including flooring, ceiling and everything in between. Key renovation areas in the kitchen, bathroom and outdoor area were identified to bring the greatest functional and financial value. These changes included:

● Adding a gable patio that flowed from the living and kitchen area, almost doubling the size of the home itself
● Increasing the size of the kitchen and transforming the laundry into a scullery with added bench space and overhead storage
● Enhancing space in the bathroom by removing the bathtub
